Capricorn TVET College staff and students were thrilled to be at Borwalathoto Primary School in Senwabarwana, Diepsloot Village, for the 2024 College Mandela Day Celebration yesterday, 18 July 2024! We were honored to be joined by our sister college, Waterberg TVET College, as we worked together to make a positive impact on the community.
Yesterday, we paid tribute to Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of public service by devoting our time and energy to give back to the Diepsloot community. Our team worked hard to paint school blocks, refurbish learners’ desks, and clean the school premises. But that’s not all – we were also able to provide school bags to every single learner at the school!
We were excited to have Energy FM SA, our media partner, on board to cover the event and help us share the story of our Mandela Day celebrations with the wider community.
We celebrated Mandela Day and made a difference in the lives of others! The smiles on the learners’ faces when they received their new school bags were priceless.
