Capricorn TVET College is delighted to announce that Ms. Maite Beatrice Senega, a former Chemical Plant Operations from the Seshego Campus, has been selected for the prestigious Community College Initiative (CCI) Programme in the United States.
Hailing from Mentz, Segoreng, a village outside Polokwane, Maite, a former Student Representative Council (SRC) member, departed on the 6th August 2024 for the USA to spend the 2024-2025 academic year studying Energy Technology at Sinclair Community College in Ohio state.
As she embarks on this exciting journey, Maite expresses her enthusiasm, saying, “I am beyond thrilled to embark on this academic adventure! I am eager to immerse myself in new customs and learn from diverse perspectives. The teachings, guidance, and support I received from Capricorn TVET have made a profound impact on my academic journey and beyond. The passion, expertise, and kindness from my course lecturers and the holistic support from the student support officials have inspired me to grow and succeed. I am thankful for the time I had at Capricorn TVET College.”
During her time at the College, Maite has been an active participant in various academic and extracurricular activities, including serving in the student leadership and peer education program within Seshego in 2023.
