Capricorn TVET College will now implement the usage of the government Central Supplier Database (CSD) as its official list of accredited providers when procuring goods and services. This is in line with the National Treasury SCM Instruction No.4A of 2016/2017. The CSD integrates with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to verify Tax Clearance Certificates and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) for business registration and business ownership information. The CSD also verifies supplier information with the register for tender defaulters and database of restricted suppliers. Current and prospective College suppliers are hereby requested to register on National Treasury Central Supplier Database online available on www.csd.gov.za.
Current and prospective College suppliers must have the following minimum documentation to register successfully on the CSD:
1. Company Registration Document
2. Original Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) or confirmation of tax reference number
3. Confirmation of Banking Details from the Bank
4. Identity Document of owner(s), members, directors and/ or shareholders
5. Mobile phone number with valid email address (Activation e-mails will be sent to mobile to confirm and accept registration, thus mobile devices should be able to accept e-mails)
NB: REGISTRATION AND ACTIVE STATUS ON CENTRAL SUPPLIER DATABASE (CSD) IS COMPULSORY IN ORDER TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THE COLLEGE.
