On 25 February 2025, Capricorn TVET College was pleased to host a delegation from Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) at our Central Office in Polokwane. This marked their second visit, following their initial visit in 2024. The visit was part of the South Africa Skills Training Enhancement Program (SASTEP), a four-year initiative sponsored by Global Affairs Canada.

SASTEP aimed to enhance the capacity of public TVET institutions in the Limpopo and Eastern Cape provinces to deliver inclusive, innovative, and gender-responsive programs. The program focused on promoting career readiness for all learners, including women and people with disabilities.

During their visit, the CICan delegation engaged in thematic activities with our management team, led by Principal Mr. Lekau Mamabolo, to gain a deeper understanding of our priorities, experiences, and challenges. They also had the opportunity to tour our Seshego campus, where they were able to view our facilities and infrastructure.
“We are excited about strengthening our partnership with CICan and exploring ways to enhance our TVET offerings, ultimately benefiting our students and the broader community”, stated College Principal, Mr Lekau Mamabolo.
