On the 26th February 2025, Capricorn TVET College hosted the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr. Buti Manamela for the ministerial oversight to public institutions of higher learning in Limpopo Province.
Took place at Polokwane Campus, the visit aimed at overseeing the College’s state of readiness of academic and related activities for the 2025 academic year. The Deputy Minister assessed issues relating to infrastructure development and student accommodation challenges, student performances, the newly introduced occupational programmes, issues relating to student funding and support to differently abled students.
He embarked on a walkabout led by the College Principal, Mr. Lekau Mamabolo, DHET Limpopo Regional Manager, Mr. Frans Ramonyatse to the Mechatronics, Robotics and Information Technology workshops to interact with students and lecturers to see the equipment used for teaching and learning purposes; also, to learn about academic challenges that require the department’s intervention and assistance.
