Community Outreach Programmes
The Marketing section in collaboration with other sections at the Capricorn Central TVET Office such as Community Engagement Learnership Skills (CELS) and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) form part of Community Outreach Programmes to offer quality information on educational and vocational programmes to unemployed youth and those that are currently not academically registered with learning institutions. The Community Engagement Learnership Skills and Work Integrated Learning sections feature in the programmes to offer information to TVET graduates about internships and vacancies at the College. The sections also provide the youth with accurate information about the available learnerships, bursaries and funding opportunities.
Career Guidance
Capricorn TVET College, through the Career Guidance Officers that are based in the four campuses, offer career guidance to Grade 9 learners and youth in well-coordinated career exhibitions and school visits across the district. These career guidance exhibitions assist learners to comprehend themselves better through recognising their abilities, strengths and passion for the careers they would follow after the secondary phase. The exhibition also provides learners with information to enable them in making informed decisions and achieve their career goals. Learners are also informed about all the programmes offered by Capricorn TVET College and their minimum requirements.
