On the  10th May 2024, Capricorn TVET College  unveiled the Agricultural Programme sod-turning construction of the Automated Green House Tunnel at Senwabarwana Campus. Following the introduction of the Primary Agriculture programme, the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has funded the College to build and establish the green house tunnel where enrolled students will conduct Primary Agriculture related practicals within the campus.  The IDC assists various institutions to integrate into the economic mainstream through providing funds to deserving projects such as the Primary Agriculture programme that the College started offering from January 2024.

The Senwabarwana Campus Manager, Mr Isaac Sebola thanked the IDC delegation in attendance of the sod-turning. “The College is looking forward to the construction of the green house tunnel that will enable lecturers to practically teach students skills on plant production”, explained Mr Sebola.

The green house tunnel will assist both the College’ students and lecturers to embrace the modern approaches within the agricultural field and ensure work based exposure is effectively provided through giving students sufficient work integrated learning lessons.
